Discovery Time Learning Center provides much more than just child care and daycare services. When you join our program, you join a school community committed to supporting and empowering the children and families that we serve.
Your child’s safety is our #1 priority.
Our facility has the highest program safety precautions including on-site security cameras, telephones in every room, a secure entry system at our school’s entrance, CPR & MAT certified staff, monthly practice of safety drills, and on-going program safety training for our team.
Our parent-accessible classroom cameras help parents stay connected to their child during the day. You will be able to watch live video of your child learning, playing, and interacting throughout the day by logging in securely from a computer or WatchMeGrow’s mobile app while on the go.
We can’t say it enough – we have the best teachers anywhere! Our teachers are extremely caring, compassionate, and committed and we wouldn’t have it any other way. In 2016, our teachers completed triple the amount of training required by state licensing. This is more than a job – it’s an opportunity to share our life’s passion.
You will love our Saturday Parents’ Night Out. Throughout the year, parents’ night out is offered to give our families time to complete last minute holiday shopping, enjoy a dinner date, or simply to have a few quiet hours at home. These events typically take place one Saturday each month from 4:30 to 8:30.
Our parents enjoy receiving pictures of their child and messages about their child’s day through our secure mobile app. In addition to learning about your child’s day at afternoon pick-up, our teachers document your child’s development in an electronic portfolio that is accessible to each parent.
In addition to maintaining an open door policy, we invite our families to take part in special events at our school. Our most popular events include our Fall Festival & Costume Parade, Mystery Reader Visits, Field Trips to the Zoo and Pumpkin Patch, Summer Field Day, and Class Holiday Parties.
Each week,Coach Kay visits children 2 and older for an exciting outdoor soccer class. Soccer offers a balanced and creative approach to coaching to enhance your child’s overall growth and well-being. Children learn individual skills and teamwork and are encouraged to develop their physical, mental, and social abilities through exciting soccer activities.
Our Music for Life music program teacher visits every classroom each week to immerse little musicians in a varied musical experience. Children have opportunities to sing, sign, dance, listen, and play instruments from all over the world. Children in our preschool program are offered the additional opportunity to begin piano lessons and love performing at our Spring Music Recital.
In our weekly gymnastics class, children are exposed to a range of special motor skills with a clear emphasis on the joy of movement, evident by Ms.Kelly’s energetic enthusiasm. The PowerTots program is designed to encourage whole body exercise, including development in strength, flexibility, and coordination for children 18 months and older.
In addition to our full time program, we are pleased to offer a part-time two day and three day program for children 16 months old and older. Drop-in and back-up care is available for children 2 and older based on space availability. Both programs offer care over a full-day. Families interested in drop-in care must preregister for our program.
